Mordian

Mordian is a sunless, tidally locked world whose habitable band lies in perpetual night, a realm of eternal darkness lit only by artificial means. Facing away from its dim star, the inhabited hemisphere never sees dawn, and its cities glitter beneath a black sky in a permanent, uneasy twilight. The isolation and gloom have bred a population of rigid discipline and unshakable order.

Out of this darkness march the Mordian Iron Guard, among the most parade-perfect regiments of the Astra Militarum. Renowned for their immaculate uniforms, unflinching courage, and almost fanatical devotion to drill, the Iron Guard stand their ground where other soldiers would break, holding firing lines against charging foes with metronomic precision. Their discipline is a bulwark raised against the fear that lurks in every shadow of their homeworld.

Mordian society is said to be haunted by the terrors of its endless night, and its people cling to structure and duty as a defense against the madness that darkness can breed. This cultural obsession with order translates directly into their military bearing, producing soldiers who value formation and cohesion above individual heroics. The Iron Guard may lack the flair of more celebrated regiments, but on the battlefield their steadiness is legendary, a wall of massed lasfire and iron nerve that does not waver even as the enemy closes.
