A Daemonhost is a living being into whose flesh a daemon has been forcibly bound, creating a hideous fusion of mortal body and immaterial entity. Unlike willing possession, a daemonhost is typically forged against the daemon's will through binding rituals, the captive spirit chained within its stolen shell by sigils, wards, and words of power scored into the host's very skin.
Paradoxically, it is often the radical Inquisitors of the Imperial Agents who create daemonhosts, binding warp-entities to serve as weapons against the enemies of mankind. Such practices are anathema to the puritan factions, who see in them the first step toward damnation, yet the power a controlled daemonhost offers is immense, and immensely tempting.
The host body is grotesquely transformed, wreathed in warp-fire and capable of wielding the fell sorceries of its imprisoned occupant. Should the binding ever fail, the freed daemon will turn upon its captors with all the fury of the immaterium, a reminder that to wield such power is to dance forever upon the edge of ruin.
