The Wardancers are the deadly worshippers of Loec the Trickster God, elite warrior-dancers of the Wood Elves whose lethal artistry turns battle into a bloody ballet. Organised into secretive kindreds, they wander the forest of Athel Loren performing tales of gods and heroes, then spend those same skills killing with unearthly grace.
Each movement of a Wardancer's blade is part of a memorised routine, a war-dance passed down through generations, so that they seem to flow around blows that would slay any other warrior. They wear little armour, trusting instead in speed and the deceptions of their patron, appearing and vanishing among the trees as though the forest itself hid them.
To the folk of Athel Loren, Wardancers are objects of both reverence and unease, for Loec's servants share his mercurial, mocking nature and answer to no lord. Yet when the great enemies of the forest come with fire and axe, the Wardancer kindreds emerge from the shadows to exact a graceful, laughing revenge.
