The Luminark of Hysh is a wondrous war machine of the Empire, wrought by the Wizards of the Light Order and drawn to battle upon a great wheeled carriage. At its heart burns a lens of concentrated Hysh, the Lore of Light, harnessed by a Battle Wizard who rides atop the contraption. Through this apparatus the wizard can unleash a searing beam known as the Solheim's Burning Gaze, a lance of pure white energy that scours through the ranks of the enemy and leaves smouldering ruin in its wake.
Beyond its destructive potential, the Luminark radiates an aura of protective magic that shrouds nearby soldiers of the Empire of Man in a shimmering veil, turning aside blows that would otherwise fell them. The device was born of the tireless study of the Colleges of Magic in Altdorf, and its construction requires the collaboration of engineers and mages alike.
Drawn into war beside regiments of state troops, the Luminark of Hysh embodies the union of arcane lore and mechanical ingenuity that defines the armies of men, a beacon of order amid the encircling darkness of the Old World.
