The Light College is the order of the Colleges of Magic devoted to Hysh, the Lore of Light. Its wizards, called Hierophants or Light Wizards, command the pure and blinding wind of magic, the most difficult of all winds to master. Their pyramidal college in Altdorf is a place of rigorous discipline, where initiates memorise vast litanies to safely channel the searing energies of Hysh in service to the Empire of Man.
Light Wizards are scholarly and orderly, their magic anathema to the creatures of darkness and Chaos. In battle they unleash banishing light that scours daemons and undead, shield allies with radiant wards, and blind the foe with dazzling brilliance. Their exorcisms are prized wherever the shadow of the Dark Gods falls.
Founded during the reformation of magic under Magnus the Pious and the elf loremaster Teclis, the Light College stands among the eight sanctioned orders, its Hierophants steadfast guardians against the encroaching darkness.
