The Jade College is the order of the Colleges of Magic devoted to Ghyran, the Lore of Life. Its wizards, called Jade Wizards or Druids, channel the verdant wind of magic that flows through rivers, forests, and fields. Rather than dwelling wholly within Altdorf, many maintain shrines and groves in the wild places of the Empire of Man, tending the natural cycles of growth and decay.
Jade Wizards are patient and enduring, attuned to the seasons and the slow rhythms of the living world. In battle they bolster the vitality of allies, entangle foes with grasping roots, and coax fields to yield bountiful harvests in times of famine. Peasants revere them as bringers of good fortune, and their blessings are sought to ward off blight and plague.
Founded during the great reformation of magic under Magnus the Pious and the elf Teclis, the Jade College remains one of the eight sanctioned orders, its druids a quiet but vital thread in the survival of the Empire's people.
