The Fyreslayer Lodges are the fractious mountain-holds of the fyreslayers, duardin warriors who mine and consume ur-gold in a fanatical quest to reclaim the scattered essence of their slain god Grimnir. Each Lodge is a fortified magmahold built around a great forge-temple, ruled by an Auric Runefather and his warrior sons.
The Lodges are mercenary by necessity and by creed. Fyreslayers sell their axes to any who can pay in gold, for only through gold can they recover the divine sparks of Grimnir that were scattered across the realms when the god shattered the Godbeast Vulcatrix. This makes the Lodges a common sight in the armies of the cities-of-sigmar and beyond, wherever a warlord's coffers run deep.
Though they share a common origin, the Lodges rarely act in unison and often nurse ancient grudges against one another. Famous holds such as the Vostarg and the Greyfyrd each guard their own traditions, runic secrets, and interpretations of Grimnir's will, making the Fyreslayers a scattered but fearsome people.
