The Blightkings are the favoured champions of Nurgle, mortal warriors so blessed with the Grandfather's gifts that their bloated, pestilent bodies have become living reliquaries of disease. Each was once a great hero or warlord who caught the plague god's eye, and each now serves as a Rotbringer lord, their corrupted flesh a badge of honour among the followers of decay.
Despite their grotesque appearance, Blightkings are formidable warriors, wielding rusted blades and diseased weapons with surprising skill and enduring wounds that would fell any ordinary foe. They march at the heart of the maggotkin-of-nurgle, spreading contagion in a joyous procession of rot, and their laughter echoes with the contentment of those who have accepted their god's loving embrace.
Wherever the Blightkings tread, gardens of pestilence bloom in their wake, and they count themselves fortunate agents of the Chaos Grand Alliance, spreading Nurgle's gifts to a realm they believe simply does not yet understand its blessings.
