Shalaxi Helbane

Among the Keepers of Secrets — the towering greater daemons of Slaanesh — Shalaxi Helbane was shaped for a single purpose. Where other Keepers command legions, seduce nations, and spin webs of intrigue, Shalaxi hunts. The Monarch of the Hunt exists to answer champions: wherever a hero of the rival gods grows mighty enough to matter, Shalaxi arrives to collect them.

The Keeper's arsenal is a duellist's. Soulpiercer, a lance long as a ship's mast, strikes for the heart with surgical hunger, and Shalaxi's impossible grace turns aside blows that would stagger gargants. But what makes the Monarch singular is restraint. Shalaxi permits prey their finest hour — lets the hero shine, the champion ascend, the legend crest — and only then strikes home, for a trophy taken at anything less than its best is, to Shalaxi, no trophy at all.

With Slaanesh chained, the Monarch's hunts have taken on an edge of devotion. Every god-favoured champion added to the tally is an offering against the day of the Dark Prince's return, and every slain hero is one fewer blade that might one day reach the Hidden Gloaming first. Whether Shalaxi hunts to honour the imprisoned god or to be found worthy of standing at his side upon release is a secret — and Keepers of Secrets keep what they are named for.
