The Demolisher Cannon is a weapon of siege and demolition, a stubby and gargantuan gun that trades range for overwhelming destructive power. Most famously mounted upon the Demolisher variant of the Leman Russ battle tank, the weapon is a mainstay of the astra-militarum in the grinding work of urban warfare and fortress assault. Where the enemy hides behind walls of rockcrete and layered armour, the Demolisher Cannon is brought forward to break them, its short range demanding that crews close to point-blank distance and endure return fire to deliver their ruinous payload.
The gun's crews are a special breed, for they must advance into the teeth of the foe to bring their weapon to bear, trusting the tank's heavy plating to shield them as they line up the killing shot.
