Waaagh! is the term for the great migratory war-frenzy of the Orks, part battle cry, part cultural phenomenon, and part psychic force. It describes the process by which scattered ork bands coalesce into an unstoppable tide of violence, gathering under a dominant leader and rolling across star systems in search of the fighting they crave above all else.
What makes the phenomenon extraordinary is that it is not merely social but metaphysical. Orks generate a low-level collective psychic field simply by existing, and when enough of them share a single belief or desire, that shared conviction produces tangible effects. The larger and more excited the gathering becomes, the stronger this field grows, so that a full Waaagh! can bend probability, empower crude technology, and make the greenskins faster, tougher, and more ferocious the more they win.
A Waaagh! typically forms around a warlord whose strength and charisma draw ever more followers into his orbit; the momentum feeds on itself, since success attracts recruits and recruits fuel further success. At its height it functions as a self-sustaining engine of conquest, capable of overrunning defences that logic says should hold. When the fighting finally ebbs, the horde fragments once more, scattering to fester and squabble until the next great cry rises and the cycle begins again.
