The Necron Dynasties are the ancient royal houses into which the Necrons are divided, each a sprawling feudal domain ruled by an undying Phaeron and his subordinate nobles. Stretching back to the days before the War in Heaven, these dynasties governed the Necrontyr and endure still in the metal-bound forms the Necrons wear across the long night of their slumber.
Each dynasty commands its own tomb worlds, fleets and legions of soulless warriors, its heraldry and traditions preserved across sixty million years. Chief among them is the Sautekh Dynasty, ambitious and aggressive, while the Mephrit, Nihilakh, Novokh and countless others each pursue their own agendas as they awaken from their tomb-slumber.
Rivalries between dynasties run deep, and open war between them is not unknown, for the pride of these ancient overlords rivals their hatred of the living. Yet all share a singular ambition: to reclaim the galaxy that was once theirs and restore the dominion of the Necrons over all lesser races.
