The Grey Seers are the horned prophets and most powerful sorcerers of the Skaven, born marked by grey fur and a pair of curling horns that set them apart as chosen servants of the Horned Rat. They alone are permitted to interpret the will of their god and to sit in judgement over the teeming clans of the Under-Empire.
Masters of the corrupt art of warpstone sorcery, Grey Seers gnaw upon raw warpstone to fuel their spells, unleashing plagues, madness, and skittering swarms upon their enemies. Their authority answers only to the Council of Thirteen, and many a Seer schemes endlessly to claim a seat upon that dread ruling body.
Cunning, treacherous, and utterly without loyalty save to their own ambition, the Grey Seers are the theocratic power behind the fractious ratmen, wielding faith and fear alike to bind the squabbling clans toward the domination of the surface world.
