Clan Eshin is the shadowy clan of assassins and spies that serves as the covert blade of the Skaven race, masters of murder, infiltration, and the gathering of secrets. Unlike the other great clans, Eshin's origins lie in the distant east, where its founders travelled to the lands of Cathay and beyond, learning the arts of the silent kill from human shadow-warriors before returning to the Under-Empire.
Eshin's black-clad Gutter Runners and deadly Assassins move unseen through the tunnels and cities of the world, striking down warlords, stealing plans, and eliminating enemies for whoever can pay the clan's price, be they Skaven or even, on rare occasion, surface-dwellers ignorant of their true nature. Their weapons drip with warpstone-laced poisons, and their throwing stars find throats in the dark.
Ruled from the hidden fortress-temple of Nightmaster, Clan Eshin sells its services to the other clans and the Council of Thirteen, wielding fear and information as weapons every bit as potent as blades. To cross Eshin is to invite a shadow at one's throat.
