Drawn from aelves who have devoted themselves to martial service, they fight in tight, unshakeable formations, each soldier trained to suppress fear and doubt through mastery of the self.
Vanari regiments include the spear-armed Auralan Wardens, the crossbow-wielding Auralan Sentinels, and the Dawnriders who charge upon steeds of purest Hyshian light. All draw upon reserves of aetherquartz, a crystalline store of concentrated emotion that lends them supernatural calm and clarity in the heat of battle, though its use gradually leaches warmth from the soul.
The Vanari serve as the backbone around which the more esoteric temples of aelf assemble, and they march alongside the wider host of the Lumineth Realm-lords in defence of Hysh and the Realm of Light.
