Paint Projects
Turn a colour scheme into a project. Pick one of 9 step-by-step recipes across three universes — or start from a scheme you saved in the designer — then tick off the paints you already own and copy a shopping list of the rest.

How paint projects work
Every recipe here is an original editorial suggestion written by this site — a sequence of common hobby techniques (basecoat, wash, layer, drybrush, edge highlight) using widely available paints. They are starting points, not official schemes, and not reproductions of any published guide.
If you designed a livery in the Colour Scheme Designer and saved it, it appears under “Start from a saved scheme”. Importing one matches each region’s colour to the nearest common hobby paint (the same CIEDE2000 matching the designer uses) and turns the result into a project with its own checklist and shopping list.
The owned-paint checklist lives only in your browser and carries across projects, so the shopping list always shows just what’s missing from your shelf. Where a paint has cross-brand equivalents in our conversion chart, the list offers them as alternatives — nearest sensible matches, never exact twins. We show no prices, links, or merchants.
